Regular landfill hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Saturday.

The landfill is CLOSED on Sunday and all statutory holidays.

We have our extended hours returning the spring

Extended Hours: April 28 - October 9

Extended hours are for smaller residential loads, leaf and yard waste, and recycling.
Large commercial loads will not be accepted after 4:30 PM

From April 28th – Oct 9th 2024, we will be staying open later on Mondays – Thursdays to give residents a chance to drop off their garbage on a weeknight and avoid long lineups on Saturdays.:
• Mon – Thur 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM. (The extra two hours in the evening are only for small residential garbage loads and compostable leaf and yard waste. Large commercial garbage loads intended for the landfill will be turned away after 4:30pm, as the heavy compaction equipment will not be running late.)
• Fri – Sat 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

Priddis Transfer Station – SE-29- 22-3- W5M (264 St. W. & 178 Ave)

Diamond Valley Transfer Station – SE-17- 20-2- W5M (168 St. W & 402 Ave) west of Black Diamond
April 15 – Nov 15: Open Monday-Tuesday, Friday-Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. During this period, branches, grass clippings, and leaves will also be accepted at the Diamond Valley Transfer Station
Nov 16 – April 14: Open Friday-Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

*Bags can be purchased at the Priddis transfer station for $2 per bag. Bags for use at the transfer stations are also available
at Millarville General Store, and the Esso in Diamond Valley. Sale prices of bags at retailers is at the discretion of the retailers and may be more than $2 per bag. Please note that these bags are only accepted at the Foothills County transfer stations in Priddis and Diamond Valley, if they are brought to the landfill, standard charges will still apply
